I used to be a photographer before I got consumed in the digital imaging world. I decided to return to a Photo flea market after being absent from the scene for a few years. I was very surprised to see a lot of people, this turnout was easily 1500 people. Hobbyists and professionals come to these one-day events in numbers, looking for inexpensive and expensive equipment to furnish their personal and business collection. Photographic Flea Market, Holiday-Inn Pointe-Claire, Qc, April 30, 2000.
With help from Xerox, I decided to converge the world of computers and photography, and introduced the power of instant digital imaging with the Phaser 850. I used a Kodak Megapixel camera to take pictures, get them TWAIN'ed into Adobe Photoshop (on a very slow 350Mhz workstation), then printed out 8x10's on the Phaser 850 without manipulation. The whole process took from start to finish took no more than 2 minutes. Marche-aux-Puces Photographie, CEGEP Andre Laurendeau, Lasalle, Qc, May 7, 2000.
