You buy a cheap video card (or whatever), you get little or no support. I own a few items from what you called "virtual companies." I like that title. It fits! Anyway, I realized going in I should not expect much in the way of support. I have a Made in CHina "Trident" card. I wish I didn't. I really don't like buying from slave labor countries. But I did not look at the time. Anyway, mine DOES NOT have jumpers and DOES have SOJ sockets. Also the construction seems good. Maybe the back plain on it is a little off. It has what seems to be gold contacts (or well polished) for the slot connector. This is the PCI version of the 9440, BTW. Yep, the manual sucks. The software is drab, but finctional. Hey, better the a friend's CL-5434 board. It has NO Win95 custom support (ie. no refresh rate controls). While my cheepie 9440 does! Trident chips are a nice cheep system but I think my next card may be an ET6000. Now, I just have to find the money.
